MARCO WILL JOIN THE RED HAIR PIRATES THEORY

There may be a slight chance that Marco will join with the Red Hair pirates for the time being. He has lost both Ace and Whitebeard and might want revenge, but he alone isn’t strong enough.

During the Payback War the Whitebeard Pirates suffered an utter defeat against Blackbeard Pirates. Blackbeard is probably searching Marco to steal even his Devil Fruit powers.

Who would be the best person to be with while both hiding and waiting for the right time for a revenge? Shanks!

It may sound stupid, but I believe that, after they were on Ace’s and Whiteberad’s grave, they have joined and are now waiting for Luffy to arrive, so that they can change the system and the world together.

So what do you guys think?

    Seems familiar lol

16 Things You Should Know About Shanks

Little is known about what Shanks can do, as he has not been seen heavily engaged in battle yet; however, as a member of the Yonko in the New World, his raw physical power is immense, and is known to be one of the four strongest pirates in the world. Shanks did not fear Whitebeard, the world’s strongest pirate, and even had enough strength to clash with him, whereas some pirate captains quivered at the mere mention of Whitebeard’s name. Rockstar also used his captain’s name to convey to Whitebeard the importance of the letter he delivered to him. It was also stated by the Gorosei that he is one of the few people capable of stopping Teach. Admiral Akainu fought through many men and a fewShichibukai to get to Luffy, but when Shanks appeared, he did not challenge the Yonko.

He appears to be an excellent swimmer as well, having reached the young Luffy out in the middle of the sea before the Sea King could devour him. According to Buggy, as a young man, Shanks was a strong fighter and, had it not been for his ideals, he (Buggy) would have wanted him on his crew.

As a member of the Yonko, Shanks’ name alone commands great power, as Buggy himself proved; his assertion that he previously had a “brotherly bond” with Shanks was one of the many things that earned him respect from the Impel Down inmates. In addition, Buggy did not shy from using the names of Shanks and his previous captain, Gol D. Roger, to maintain his respect among them. Even the fact Buggy was seen back talking to Shanks was seen as a testament of Buggy’s own power to the former prisoners, not aware that the two had always acted like this and mistakenly thinking that it was because Buggy was not afraid of a Yonko. Shanks commands enough power to end the war at Marineford with just words; when he stated there was to be no more fighting, no one stepped up to challenge him, even though the Marines were fired up after the death of Ace and Whitebeard.

When Shanks offered to fight the very overconfident and pompous Blackbeard (who moments before had boasted about destroying the island and taking down Fleet Admiral Sengoku and Vice Admiral Garp after having already killed Whitebeard), Blackbeard declined and decided to leave, as it was too soon for he and his crew to take on Shanks.

Furthermore, when Shanks requested that Whitebeard’s and Portgas D. Ace’s dignity at death not be violated, Sengoku himself decided to call off the war and offered to take responsibility, showing that despite being a pirate, Shanks has earned Sengoku’s respect, something that no pirate other than Whitebeard is known to have achieved.

Shanks is usually portrayed as a swordsman. Shanks was capable of swimming ten years ago, meaning that he did not consume any Devil Fruit at the time when he was a rival to Mihawk.

While his use of his swordsmanship skills was only briefly shown, the fact that he was able to match a blow from Whitebeard with only one arm is a clear indication of the strength he puts behind his attacks. Shanks is also powerful enough to stop Akainu’s magma fist using his sword and Busoshoku Haki. Since Mihawk is classified as the world’s greatest swordsman, and Shanks is a former rival of his, it can be assumed that Shanks is an extremely proficient swordsman.

Shanks appears to have favored his left arm before he lost it, as he is always seen holding his sword in his left hand during flashbacks.

Shanks can utilize at least two of the three types of Haki. Shanks has shown mastery over the two types of Haki he has used. Even Whitebeard complimented Shanks for his Haki when he used it on his “visit”.

When Shanks and Whitebeard clashed with their weapons, the “heavens” above them split, hinting at the incredible Busoshoku Haki that the Yonko had imbued in them.

During the Battle of Marineford, he was able to imbue Busoshoku Haki into his sword to block a Logiaattack.

Shanks is capable of using Haoshoku Haki, an ability that only one in a million people can use.

After saving Luffy from a Sea King, Shanks was able to frighten it off with a single angry glare using this ability. Later, while Shanks was boarding Whitebeard’s ship for their meeting, a large amount of Whitebeard’s crew (experienced men who have survived in the New World) lapsed into unconsciousness and the ship itself began to take damage from Shanks’s mere presence. Whitebeard’s men attributed this to his superior Haki.

Oda mentioned in a SBS that Shanks could have knocked out all 100,000 pirates and fishmen opposing the Straw Hats during theFishman Island Arc with his Haoshoku Haki (Luffy managed to overwhelm 50,000).

So far, Shanks has only wielded a sword in combat. His sword is a large saber with a single edge blade and a large hand guard.

Shanks wielded two different swords during his time as an apprentice pirate aboard Gol D. Roger’s ship and during his stay in Luffy’s hometown.

        Shanks and Blackbeard

Here is a guess about these two characters.

I find it suspicious how Shanks was implicated into the whole Ace and Teach fight. We know that Rayleigh knows about the void century, the will of D, he knows everything. It is the same for Shanks, problably, since he was in Roger’s crew as well.
Going with this, I believe that Shanks try to find “that man” that Crocus, and Whitebeard were talking about. Of course we know it’s Luffy, but Shanks as a character, I think his duty is to find that man, and he kinda did it with Luffy and the whole bet about the new generation.

Here is another example of Shanks ‘duty’ when he says to Cody that these few seconds of courage “have just made a huge difference in the fate of the world”, and these seconds of courage have indeed, distracted Kizaru’s shot that was going to finish Luffy. Shanks definitely sees luffy as the man that will change the world, the man awaited by Roger and co.

Now about the Ace vs Teach confrontation. Why did Shanks want to prevent this? “It’s not yet time for them to face each other!!” What is the meaning of that line? Is it the idea of two “D” confronting each other? It make me think about Luffy vs Teach. Two “D” confronting each other might inevitably lead to big changes in the world? That’s the case for Ace vs Teach, and it will probably be the case when Luffy will face Teach.

Now about the relationship between Shanks and Teach:

Why is he so concerned about Teach? Yes, there is the scar, but that’s it? I think it goes way beyond that. Now, theory time. I think that Shanks was friend with Teach.

I don’t think that Shanks could have deduces all of this, simply by having a fight against Teach. Shanks knows him pretty well, his ambition, his dream, his real power and so on. Why didn’t he say all of this to WB? First, because WB would not care and Shanks knows it, secondly, Oda might keep all of this for a flasback involving Shanks and Teach.

Now about the scar, the most important element:

“What ashes me now, is this one”. Really? Shanks lost his arm, suffered various wounds, he is an emperor, yet this simple scar would hurt him? I think the meaning behind this line, is that Shanks suffers from this scar because of the meaning behind it, not physically. If they were friends, I can totally imagine Teach betraying Shanks for some reasons.

But when would they meet? Why would they talk each other? Why would they become friends?

“This wound isn’t from my adventures”. I think it’s safe to say that by “adventures” Shanks means his journey with Roger, and his journey with his own crew.
        Here is a timeline:

I think that longtime ago, after Roger’s death, Shanks met Teach and have seen in him the man that was awaited by Roger and co. Teach is a D, and Shanks could have been interested by him just like he was with Luffy. Shanks made a mistake and picked the wrong guy, that’s my guess. Why is Teach so confident about his fate? What does he know about the D? I think he knows almost everthing, thanx to Shanks. And that’s why Shanks might be so concerned by Teach. He was still young, and he made a mistake. He told him everything. Learning from his mistakes, he then did the opposite with Luffy, telling him nothing but just giving him hope and motives.

Why did they fight? Being a nobody (Teach’s childhood picture), I guess that knowing all of this story and his incredible fate, it changed him. He might have become greedy and power hungry from this moment.

        And now:

They will probably end all of this with a fight.
So yea, that’s my 2cents about this.

[AMV One Piece] Shanks & Rayleigh ᴴᴰ

THE DEVOTION FOR THE KING OF THE PIRATES

We all know that Roger Crew was disbanded and everyone was free of follow the way they want.
I put my eyes on the two apprentices of Roger; Buggy the Clown and [Akagami]Redhaired Shanks.

At the start when Roger was about to set sail he doesn’t have ship and convince Rayleigh to join in his trip.

This reveals one thing Roger and Reyleigh are from the East Blue.
This is an important fact since the East Blue is the weakest sea of the 4, and probably Roger knew something that only those who are “weak knows how is being weak” [I’ll explain this later] Roger was from Loguetown that means probably Roger go way back for all the East blue, searching for crewmates and set sail to Reverse Mountain.

At the start Roger and their crewmates navigate around the Four seas, Grand Line and New World for along 15 years and somehow they get out from the Grand Line and Return to the East Blue maybe for Roger Ilness, and enter from Reverse Mountain again, my reference is Crocus joins to the band and stay with Roger’s Crew for 3 or 4 years before they were disbanded.

In this point we know that Shanks and Buggy are apprentices in the Oro Jackson maybe they had at least 5 years or even more in the Ship that means they could be from the East Blue or from the New World or The Grand Line, I say these cause the look a little bit older than in other flashback.

Shanks and Buggy in the past

                Ups! wrong image sorry :hides:

                Backstory why Buggy hates Shanks

The proof maybe is in Chapter Zero were Crocus, Buggy, and Shanks are in the Ship during the war with Shiki.

They look more mature, that means they could join 2 years before Crocus

During The Battle of Edd War Buggy was crying but we can see that all the crew trust in Roger and his strengh [also in his Will]

This make me think that Buggy was kinda noble and he just worried for Roger and the crew; he also had fear for all the ship’s in front him.

After this Roger has become the King of Pirates.

                Tears for the Pirate King

At this Point Buggy and Shanks were Back in East Blue [They had pass through Raftel].

                Buggy was so affected by Roger dead, as the weakest and “noble” pirate he was, he probably stay in East Blue as a sign of respect for Roger and whatever he do for him in the Past;
So he took the name Buggy the Clown because one of the things that Roger likes of him were his Clown appearance, so Buggy respect and love for Roger led him to live as the Pirate Clown and stay in the East Blue.

In the other side we have Shanks, even as a Yonkou he pass so much time in the East Blue, because this was the sea in wich Roger born; we know that Roger gave his Strawhat to Shanks, and maybe that’s the reason why Shanks had the desire of being in the East Blue; just to remind his Captain; and maybe someday found someone weak enough to lead the next generation.

Whatever Roger do for Buggy and Shanks left a mark in their hearts and they show their devoution and respect for his memory, those actions gave them will to face their respective life.

So the East Blue the weakest sea of all, this is too important because only those who know “what is being weak” knows how is “being hopeless” and they have the will to become stronger and not get blinded by his own powers; this means compassion.
Probably this is why Shanks gave Luffy his Strawhat.

Shanks reacts to Luffy’s bounty: Do you remember this scene?

Mihawk informs Shanks about Luffy’s first bounty poster and Shanks celebrates
Don't tell me you didn't remember this moment

                    Benn Beckman

During one of the SBS Oda said that Benn Beckman has the highest IQ of all characters introduced in One Piece so far. By the time of the interview, One Piece was still in the East Blue saga. Later on, after a couple of arcs, the same question appeared and Oda replied that Benn Beckman is still the smartest character. He is a great crewmate, who posseses astonishing wisdom, strenght and advises Shanks.
