I was rereading the Zou arc when I noticed something peculiar about Momonosuke.
We all know that in the last chapter (chapter 820), Momonosuke made a unbelievable claim that he met Roger. But we failed to notice that Momonosuke previously made a claim which is similarly absurd. Look at this conversation here:
Momonosuke is essentially saying that Inu and Neko were close before. Now, the content of the statement is not the weird part here, but the fact that it came from Momo, an 8 year old boy! How could he know that? The way Momo said those lines, it’s as if he is claiming that he met Inu and Neko before, which we all know is impossible. This impossibility was emphasized in Chapter 819 when it was mentioned that Inu and Neko started hating each other when they returned to Zou which happened before Carrot was born (who is obviously much older than Momo).
Now, what could his possibly mean? We all know Oda won’t put these things for nothing. It would also appear that Momo is not lying in those statements.
Then, I was able to come up with a conclusion when I started relating these statements with the ability of the main family of Kouzuki to read and write the poneglyphs (I say the “main” family of the Kouzuki because it would seem that only the heir of the Daimyo is taught this ability).
I believe that Oden was actually able to transfer his ability to Momo. This ability is not a simple ability to read the poneglyphs. I believe this is an ability wherein the consciousness or memories of the transferor (which in this case is Oden) is passed/transferred to that of the transferree/recipient (Momo). This is the reason why Momo knows Inu and Neko, as well as Roger. However, his ability is not yet polished, that is why he can’t read the poneglyphs.
Lastly, I believe the Shogun of Wano has an idea of this ability and how it can be transferred. That is why they were not afraid to kill Oden despite the fact that, aside from Robin, he is the only person who can read the poneglyphs, because they thought they would capture Momo anyway. Hence, the reason why Kaidou is after Kin’emon et al. is not because they thought that Oden told them the secret of the world, but because they want to use Momo’s ability to read those poneglyphs.
After 818 i’ve seen many people wondering(myself included) what the use of Oden Kozuki was on Roger’s crew, considering that Roger had the ability to hear the Voice of all Things. If Roger could understand the Poneglyphs with this ability, what was the purpose of having someone that could read the ancient language?
Well, i think that Oden was in fact the man that created the Rio Poneglyph on Raftel!
Let’s take a look at what we know about this character so far:
He’s one of the few people that have been confirmed to be on Roger’s crew, but more importantly, he’s been confirmed to have actually set foot on Raftel! Then Oda continues to reveal that his clan was the one that created Poneglyphs and that this ability unfortunately died with him before he could pass on his knowledge to Momo.
I don’t think it’s a coincedence that the last man who was able to create a poneglyph was on Roger’s crew.
Oda didn’t let Roger have this man and this specific ability with him for no reason, cus he’s Oda!
As we all know from the Poneglyph on Skypiea, Roger gathered its information and took that information to Raftel. Hence, Robin said that the purspose of that Poneglyph had been fulfilled and no longer needed to be protected. So we know that Roger gathered all the pieces of the puzzle and put that puzzle together at Raftel.
When they reached Raftel and learned the whole truth, for some reason Roger could not act upon it. Whether it was his illness or some other reason we don’t know, but he could not act. That’s why he decided to leave the information, knowing that some day someone with the will and capability to act on it will appear.
Now, of course, Roger wasn’t just gonna write this combined knowledge about the history of the world on a piece of paper. He wanted it to be found by someone who had the knowledge and Will to find out the truth.
Also, he didn’t want this information to be able to perish. Now what a coincedence that the one man in the entire world who could create an indesctructible poneglyph was with him on Raftel .
So Oden Kozuki used all information that Roger had gathered to create the Poneglyph that tells it all: the
Rio Poneglyph. Creating this poneglyph might also be (part of) the reason why Roger had his “timeskip” after reaching Raftel!
That’s it, hope you guys think it makes sense and enjoyed it!

Law And The Voice Of All Things
07/03/20162 Comments
After last chapters, many people in OP community started speculating that the fact Momonosuke is hearing a voice makes him somewhat related to the ability of hearing Voice of All Things!
Most likely, the main hint is this panel, that may be a reference to Roger, the one we know for sure that had this ability:
Actually, way ago (December 21, 2015), I’ve done a theory video in my channel exposing my ideas that Inuarashi and Nekomamushi knew Gol D. Roger, that we would have a Poneglyph in Zou and that most likely Roger was able to “hear” it.
Seems like, maybe, some of my ideas can be proven right in the near future. If not, well, by the time it was a good theory xD, haha.
Anyway, one think that REALLY caught my attention and people aren’t commenting is Law’s expression while climbing the tree.
Why is he so uneasy? So unconfortable? And why did Oda (which clearly is trying to faster the story’s pace) make sure he showed Law’s expression to us?
Also, inside the tree, while everybody’s freaking out with Raizou, Law is still uneasy. It can be due to the awkward situation, but maybe not. Also, we can’t asure he’s looking at Raizo instead of the Poneglyph, which is supposed to be from where the “voice” comes
Anyway, if Law can “hear” the the Voice of All Things too, it open possibilities:
– Gol D Roger
– Monkey D Luffy
– Trafalgar D Water Law
So…. does it means that this ability is related to the D clan?
Anyway, Luffy never heard a Poneglyph (although he seems to have the ability to hear the Voice of All Things). Is this ability something that you awaken somehow or train, something like that?
Second interesting topic: does this mean that Momonosuke (and the rest of the Kougetsu/Kouzuki family) is a D???
Well… guess we’ll learn a little more about it all by the chapter that’s coming tomorrow.
Thanks for reading

How Kozuki Oden was executed was almost the same as how the Ninja Thief Ishikawa Goemon was executed as well.

ROGER’S 4 RED PONEGLYPHS: BIG MAM, KAIDOU AND THE WANO SHOGUN
04/03/20163 Comments
We learned five things in the last chapter:
1) There are 4 Poneglyphs
2) The 4 Poneglyphs together shows the location to Raftel
2) Kaidou and Big Mam each has a poneglyph
3) The Kozuki clan created the Poneglyphs
4) Oden Kozuki, the father of Momonosuke, was a member of Gol D. Roger’s crew
5) Oden Kozuki was executed by Kaidou and the Shogun of Wano.
How is all of this connected? I’ll get straight to the point like I always do.
It was said that the 4 yonkou were the ones closest to One Piece and it seems that was stated in a literal sense. WB and Shanks knows how to get to Raftel so the Red Poneglyphs are “worthless” and Kaidou and Big Mam each has one. Shanks does NOT have a red poneglyph.
Kaidou stole a red poneglyph and Big Mam was ENTRUSTED with another by Roger himself. I’m not joking.
***************
The 4 Red Poneglyphs
Oden Kozuki was a member of the Roger Pirates so of course he knows the history of the Void Century. With the new info that it was the Kozuki who made the Poneglyphs, it is blatantly apparent that Wano fought along side the Ancient Kingdom.
As we know, the AK, which includes Wano, was defeated with Wano itself being split in two and half of it siding with the 20 Kingdoms, giving rise to the marines’ swordsmanship training and the Bald Gorosei.
Being one of the AK’s strongest allies, Wano or just the Kouzuki clan, made the poneglyphs and 4 red ones detailing how to get to Raftel and they were given to 4 ally nations: Elbaf, an unknown place, Zou and of course Wano. I think the last red poneglyph is in Elbaf.
The 4 red poneglyphs show the location to Raftel when the 4 of them are deciphered meaning, Gol D Roger used the Voice of All Things to follow its guidance leading him to Raftel, implying that the red poneglyphs are not in the WG’s hands.
Roger’s crew scattered after Raftel was discovered and one of the red poneglyphs ending up in the protection a former Roger Pirate or ally: Big Mam.
**************
Kaidou, Wano and the Red Poneglyph
Why would the Shogun of Wano joined Kaidou and murder Oden Kozuki? Because Oden was deemed a traitor.
Wano used to be under the protection of WB(after he saved it from Kaidou) but after the death of WB, Kaidou returned. This time however, things would be different. Why? Because Oden Kozuki told the Wano Shogun some info of the Void Century and I believe they were trusted friends.
Like the other Roger pirates, Oden was awaiting Roger’s successor but when Oden told his friend the Shogun about the history, the Shogun was pissed. Not only was the pissed upset at what he heard, he was filled with greed and wanted to more. The Shogun of Wano wanted a war; a war where Wano can get its revenge on this world of lies and a sense of greed for getting ultimate power.
Oden was of course against the Shogun’s irrational behavior but there was someone invading them that shared the shogun’s ideals:
100 Beast Kaidou
Kaidou thinks the world is hollow and should perish. He wants to engulf the world in the greatest war ever and the Shogun had similar motives(also, Kaidou’s wanting to commit suicide for his failures is similar to samurai committing suicide when shamed). Things got worse when the Shogun sided with Kaidou and told the beast what he knew. Yes people…Kaidou knows some of the history too. He knows what the Shogun knows. This made Kaidou want the Red Poneglyph by any means thanks to Whitebeard himself.
Kaidou recalled that WB said that whoever finds the OP would cause the world to be engulfed in a war and with the Red Poneglyph that is a key to Raftel’s location is in his possession, he goal is one step closer.
However, Kaidou can’t do a thing with the Kozuki clan. The Shogun and Kaidou thinks the members of the Kozuki clan(Momo, Kinemon, Kajnuro and Raizou) can somehow decipher the red poneglyph. This is one for the reasons the fled Wano for Zou and also how Kaidou knew to send Jack specifically to Zou. Both Kaiodu and the Shogun want to know what the red poneglyphs says.
For a second scenario, the shogun could just be a coward and decided to join the winning side.
*************
Big Mam, Roger and the Red Poneglyph
First of all, how does Nekomunashi know that Big Mam has a red poneglyph?
I think Big Mam was a former member or at least an ally of the Roger Pirates. Why? A few reasons…
In previous theories, I came to the conclusion that the Ancient Kingdom and the D clan is based off South America or at least, the mythical cities of South America.
Big Mam also has connections to WB who was a friend of Zou and Wano.
Nothing concrete, I this is the reason why I think Big Mam was either entrusted with or was able to get her hands a Red Poneglyph. I also think that this is the reason Germa 66 are going business with her; they want that poneglyph. It also increase the chances of Big Mam becoming an ally of Luffy since he seemingly has Kaidou AND half of Wano after his head.
******************
-Roger dies
-Kaidou invades Wano
-WB(who Roger told everything about Raftel), chased Kaidou away to Wano his territory.
-Big Mam gets her hands on a Ted Poneglyph
-WB dies and Kaidou returns to Wano
-Big Mam makes deals with Germa 66 over the Red Poneglyph
-The Shogun sides with Kaidou and tries to froce the Kozuki to decipher the red poneglyph
-Oden dies(with a smile? a ‘D’)? to let his son and retainers escape
-The Kozuki clan flee to Zou for assistance and shelter
-Jack arrives at Zou to retrieve Raizou

RAIZOU OF THE MIST
27/02/2016Leave a comment
At this point Oda has created so many characters that he could just mix-and-match random details and the result would still look original! *-*
So apparently there are strict guidelines to whats considered a theory and whats not and i couple i’ve put up here have been moved to speculation, this mainly consists of parallels and minor details/facts that let me form it.
Also, if you’re lazy, i made a video of this like a month back, watch that for a more summarized version (please note this thread is much more refined with more detail)
Anyway, onto the theory. (somewhat based off video script)
So as soon as we saw Momo’s artificial devil fruit the Dragon-Dragon fruit was essentially confirmed, although people certainly would be dissapointed if it didn’t exist. As it is stated and fact that Momo has a Chinese dragon adf, we can assume that it is based off something and they were attempting to replicate it. There has also been a lot of debate about who has the real dragon fruit, the 2 main candidates being Kaido and Monkey D. Dragon.
As we all know Oda incorporates a lot of real mythology into the story, we have seen some Persian, Indian, Greek and Japanese mythology so far, what i think is next in Chinese.
To make it short and sweet i believe that both Kaido and Dragon have Dragon df, but not elemental western dragons like people think, but offINDIVIDUAL dragons that are seen in Chinese mythology, here is why. I think that the devil fruit will be based off the Taoist lore of the 9 sons of the dragon king. Here are their names (modern).
Bi An
Bi Xi
Chao Feng
Chi Wen
Fu Xi
Pu Lao
Qiu Niu
Suan Ni
Ya Zi
There are a few parallels between characters we know about in One Piece with the 3 oldest Dragon’s. Here is a quote from the myth.
“Chiwen was one of the nine sons of the dragon. The Cloud Rider. When the dragon visited his children, the neighbors of his son Chiwen complained that all he did was stand atop rooftops and stare off into the distance. Thus, the dragon ordered that the image of Chiwen adorn the tops of buildings as a sentinel, searching the distance for signs of danger. Chiwen also loved poetry.”
Also, according to the legend, Chi-Wen himself was saved from starvation by a human and said human will be important later.
Now, i think that Momonosuke has the artificial version of the Chi-Wen fruit. Firstly because Momo is “a cloud rider” just like Chi-Wen
Momo also loves poetry, as shown when he told Brook to sing him a song (couldn’t find scan ;/)
and lastly, Luffy saved Momo when he was down in the cavern and got Sanji to cook him food, technically saving him from starvation, just as the Human did for Chi-Wen. He also looks similar to a drawing of Chiwen
I also believe that Kaido has the fruit of Ya-Zi, the dark dragon. Here are 2 more extracts.”
“Yazi was the second of the nine sons of the dragon. The Darkness Rider. People complained openly about him, as he bellowed all day, and he scared them. When his father received news of these complaints, he recognized that Yazi was a warrior and would be excellent at military work, especially as this dragon enjoyed killing.”
“As the second oldest born, he was always the most ambitious of his brothers but with his strong body he was always expected to outlive the others.”
Yazi is engraved on a lot of chinese blades.
We know Kaido is ruthless, ambitious, strong and warlike. Its starting to look awful similar. However here is the bit that convinced me that Oda could be basing Kaido, Dragon and Momo/Real user of his fruit off this Taoist-Chinese myth.
Last but not least i believe that Dragon has the Bi-An devil fruit, here is the final extract.
“Bian the oldest of the nine sons of the dragon. The Fire Rider. Unlike his siblings, there was no complaint lodged against him by his neighbors. Some claim that his ferocity earned him his position supervising doorways to great prisons. Others claim that his rebellious nature and constant drive of justice made him a candidate for the job for ensuring a lack of corruption and making sure the guilty remained inside.”
Another very accurate parallel to what we know about Dragon, he hates the corrupt WG he has his own sense of justice, hence he is trying to overthrow the horrible govt. About the prison guarding, that could be something else, but best save that for potentially another theory.
Bi-An
Here is where i was convinced.
In the story, Ya-Zi is fed up with how his brother runs the prisons and plans to overthrow him, he strands his brother Chi-Wen on an island and leaves him to starve, he then goes back and challenges Bi-An. They are equally matched and fight till a standstill. However, Chi-Wen returns with the aid of a strange human that helped him. With Chi-Wen’s aid, Bi-An manages to defeat Ya-Zi and put him in the prison for a long time.
Bi-An vs Ya-Zi
That concludes this particular story. (There are other myths based around the other 7 dragons.)
Here is what i think is going to happen. Both Dragon and Kaido have devil fruit based off individual dragons from Taoist mythology, Momonosuke has the cloud rider dragon fruit of Chi-Wen (Artificial) Kaido has the darkness rider fruit of Ya-Zi (real) and Dragon has the fire rider fruit of Bi-An. I think that Dragon will be attacked by Kaido after (or perhaps during) the fight with Blackbeard (its also possible Dragon avoids that fight altogether) in order to take over some of the land and powerful prisoners that the revolutionary army has in their possession, they will engage Kaido to a standstill until the LufLaw alliance attacks Kaido, giving the revs the opportunity to take him down.
One loophole would be the REAL Chi-Wen fruit user, one thing i thought off was that he could be either Raizou or the Shogun of Wano. It would be fitting if Shogun was actually his father (alpha2late17 theory) and he had the real Chi-Wen fruit. Also, if in the unlikely event this comes true, i’ll start on a theory for the other 6 dragons immediately.
This is probably my biggest theory and i put a lot of work into it, so plz don’t rip me apart
Thanks for reading. ;D
Shortly after the Straw Hats’ arrival in Dressrosa, Luffy had tried to fly Momonosuke because of the flying ability that Momonosuke had displayed and used unconsciously to save both Luffy and himself from remaining in the pit wherein Luffy first stumbled upon him
, but Momonosuke dreadfully and loudly rejected the idea of flying ‘again’ through the ‘skies’ despite having no memory of the time when he had flown out of the pit together with Luffy, wherein there was no ‘sky’.
While he was about to shout his rejection of such idea, Momonosuke was recalling somebody’s hand reaching out to grab him.
That event from his memory appears to be the cause of his aviophobia(fear of flying). The person from his flashback is suggested to have a flying ability, and the Dragon Devil Fruit possesses a flying ability.
When Momo was loudly rejecting the idea of flying again, his father was composedly listening to what was happening with no sign of surprise. This indicates that his father is aware of the misfortune that befell Momo. This further suggests that this had happened long before both Momo’s consumption of an artificial Dragon Devil Fruit and their separate arrivals in PH.
At Punk Hazard, Kinemon both exhibited great abhorrence of ‘dragons’ and confirmed to Brook that he has a ‘personal vendetta’ against them. I do not think that such hatred and vendetta could develop from having his ‘lower third’ attached to a dragon (the first dragon that greeted Luffy, Zoro, Usopp and Robin when they first set foot on the blazing half of Punk Hazard) since it is normally IMPOSSIBLE for one to confirm by only his lower third the nature of the being or thing to which it (his lower third) was attached.
Kinemon also showed great detestation of ‘pirates’ when sanji had first introduced himself and the rest of his group to him as pirates.
After Momo had consumed Vegapunk’s artificial Dragon Devil Fruit and successfully managed to escape his pursuers at Punk Hazard, he found himself facing a mirror. Upon looking at the reflection of his dragon form on the mirror, he paled and shouted a loud scream. This appears to be a phobic reaction to dragons.
When Luffy and Momo were stranded in that pit, Luffy introduced himself to Momo as the man who will become the pirate king. Upon hearing that, Momo had become fidgety and nervous and gave a description of ‘pirates’ that matches Kaido’s description. This could suggest that Momo met Kaido in person, and his nervousness could be due to the fear he harbours about Kaido due to a certain event/ events.
When Kaido’s underling was trying to update kaido with the news of Joker’s defeat, he was looking toward the sky, which means that he believed that Kaido was in the sky, if not on the apex of some mountain.
In that very chapter, Kaido reached sky island with neither the company nor the knowledge of his crew members.
It was shown to us that Drake and several other crew members of Kaido were talking about the news whereas Kaido himself was on the sky island.
It was therefore evident that such method of attaining sky island is strictly related to his abilities.
In this week’s chapter it was revealed to us, along with his identity, that Kaido has the strongest body structure you could find in all the living things that swim, crawl and fly this earth. Dragons are known to possess such attributes as robust scales that could withstand blades and spears that aim to penetrate their skin as well as wings that allow them to fly and reach such altitudes. Since Kaido’s body was described to be immune to blades and spears that aimed to penetrate it, from this aspect his attributes strongly support the idea that he possesses the Dragon Devil Fruit.
After Caesar’s downfall at Luffy’s hands, Kinemon told his son, in the middle of their meal, to trust that ‘they’ are all right.
My theory is that ‘they’ refers to the people from Wa. To be worried about their safety means that they are going through some kind of crisis. A crisis of this level that affects an entire nation whose citizens are so strong inasmuch as not even the marines can go near them can only be caused by one of the four emperors.
When the Straw Hats, Law and the samurai had left Punk Hazard and were heading to Dressrosa, Law revealed Kaido’s epithet. Upon hearing that, Momo and Kinemon both showed expressions fear and shock. When asked by Zoro what was wrong, Kinemon untruthfully replied that nothing was wrong.
Right after Kinemon had untruthfully answered Zoro that nothing was wrong, he reacted frightfully to the dragon form of his own child and started nervously asking about his (Momo’s) whereabouts. Kinemon’s mind should have been preoccupied by the dragon next to him, but the very sight of that dragon triggered feelings of worry about his son’s whereabouts.
Afterwards, when everyone was gathered and having dinner, Kinemon revealed to them that they were ‘chased’ by people whose identity he wished not to reveal(probably for the safety of the people who aided him recover both his body portions and his son – the Straw Hats).
In both instances Kinemon concealed matters connected to kaido. In this week’s chapter we discover that Kaido’s goons were ‘chasing’ the ‘samurai’.
This establishes another strong connection between Kaido and the people of Wa. My theory is that Kinemon’s group was chased by Kaido’s goons when they were trying to go to Zo. And the crisis that befell Wa had been caused by Kaido.
Kaido is the only one that could have breached the strong security of Wa and did what was done to Momo by his flying abilities. This explains Momo’s accurate description of Kaido, his phobic reaction to dragons, and the fear he harbours about him from the event that caused him aviophobia. This also explains Kinemon’s ‘personal vendetta’ against ‘dragons’, his feelings of worry about the whereabouts of his child that surfaced at the sight of a dragon, and his strong dislike of ‘pirates’ because it is only natural for one to develop such feelings after having his son exposed to such traumatic experience and his country exposed to such crisis (conquest of Wa).
Let’s also not dismiss that Gear 4 was conceived to combat celestial/ flying enemies too.
These are my thoughts for why Kaido must possess the dragon ability.
Thank you for reading.
