THEORY: ONE PIECE IS PANGAEA

… This is not going to be a short theory. But yeah, title says it. I think One Piece is a supercontinent that will be created at the end of the story.

First of all, I’d like to make the distinction between One Piece, in this theory the dream of a continent, and the treasure One Piece found on Raftel. Also, since writing out “the treasure One Piece” is a load of work I’m going to refer to it as TOP from now on.

However, before going into the sweet guessworks, let’s have a salad of what we can expect of the TOP.

Lots of people have guessed that TOP is the rio poneglyph. Others have no expectations at all and think it’s just Roger’s gold. Some think it’s a particularly powerful devil fruit or Uranus the super weapon.

But we all feel that TOP must be something amazing. It must be something that… truly shakes the entire world at its core.

At times, it seems like it doesn’t matter what TOP is. Luffy is going to be satisfied with whatever.

But Oda has confirmed that it’s not going to be a wizard of Oz ending:

Oda: “Hahaha, no no, I won’t be pulling off some kind of Wizard of Oz thing like that. After having gone through an adventure like that, it wouldn’t be fair to not actually give them a reward.”

Which is great, because I speak from the hearts of everybody who has a soul when I say that whatever TOP is, it has to at least be able to make Luffy exclaim “that’s awesome!”. It’s the minimum requirement.

Luffy never listens to backstories, so while we’ll definitely be treated to one, it’s not going to be just a rio poneglyph. It’s also unlikely to be gold or power, because while that’s awesome… Luffy’s more likely to say “eh, is that it?”

So, looking at the story, what kind of things have impressed Luffy?

Lasers and robots.

Not saying TOP is a laser or a robot (though that would be funny). But Luffy admires technological wonders, and I understand him. Technologic can seem like magic if you don’t understand it.

Have you ever thought about the fact that One Piece is a world without magic? It’s magic science (magience?), but still science. Even the devil fruits. We’re just waiting for Vegapunk to give us an explanation for that.

That’s why I believe TOP is a technological wonder.

Specifically, a machine or button to trigger the creation of a supercontinent.

Obviously, what inspired this theory was Sanji’s dream of All Blue, and Laboon’s inability to cross the red line.

Of all of the Straw hats’s dreams, Sanji’s is the most notable. It’s an impossible dream, but again, because of story logic, it must be achieved in a satisfying way, and no, it’s not mermaid island.

Right now it’s an impossible dream, because we have east blue, south blue, etc, but it stands to reason that if all land becomes “one piece” (get it?), then all Blues will be gathered into one blue: All Blue.

When that happens, Laboon will also be able to reunite with his family.

“A simple and elegant solution to two problems, but how will this be accomplised?” you ask, with a curious expression. “Please don’t say Uranus.”

It’s got nothing to do with Uranus (•ˋ _ ˊ•)

I think it’s magnets.

Every island has its own magnetic field. It’s just another part of the weirdness that is One Piece. According to Crocus, it’s just that the islands all contain magnetic minerals (chapter 105). But that’s still the same principle as magnets, and magnets are attracted to each other.

Look at the red-line. It looks like it’s already happened before. Nami describes the red line as “essentially a huge collection of islands all joined together”.

Overall, the map of One Piece looks incredibly artificial. Straight lines like that do not appear naturally. Again, we’ve never questioned it, because it’s obviously a reference to a running track.

But maybe it looks artificial because it actually is. The grand line may be interpreted as a running track, but you know what else it looks like?

A conveyers belt.

Calm belt, conveyers belt… get it?

Obviously, everything is pretty static on the grandline, but… if there was a button to turn on the conveyers belt, it would be on Raftel, wouldn’t it.

So, 800 years ago, a bunch of scientiests led by joy-boy created a project that would alter the world map. They wanted to drag together all the scattered pieces of land and create one supercontinent, One Piece. They made it half-way. A bunch of islands were dragged together to create red-line, but then before the project was completed, they were stopped and all evidence of their work was erased. All that was left were the Poneglyphs…

P-one, p-1, one piece… Only scientists are that uncreative at naming. But I digress.

At some point, Poseidon the mermaid princess decided to divide the world further, making her pet monsters guard the Calm belt. Presumably, she had a good reason for that.

Or she was just feeling prissy.

Anyway, a map change like this would be difficult to hide, but that’s exactly the point. The world government went to ridiculous extremes to cover up the void century. If it was something small, they wouldn’t have to go to such lengths.

Furthermore, if they burned all the maps, that would explain why despite the general layout being known, there’s still no world map available, which we know because it’s Nami’s great dream to make one.

Nami’s dream is another point in favor of this theory.

Making a world map is something she could be working on right now, but since her introduction there’s been nothing. No “we can’t leave yet, I haven’t finished mapping” or “I demand we go here, this place is unmapped”. That’s because, all of that effort would ultimately be pointless. The current world isn’t the world she’ll make a map of.

Anyway, from here we go into spectacular speculation. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

It’s obvious that pressing that one button is going to have a huge impact on the world. So huge that no one can really predict what’s going to happen. Roger decided not to push the button, probably because he was dying and wouldn’t be able to see the decision through. The button that even Roger couldn’t make himself push… it would definitely require a lot of bravery to press that button.

Guess who’s dream it is to be a brave man?

Yes that’s right, I’m talking about Usopp.

Circumstance might easily push Usopp into a position where he’s the only one capable of pushing the button. As the Enies Lobby arc made a point of, his strength is that no matter how weak he is, he has a long reach. So if someone were to, say, stand in their way, Usopp would be the only one in a position to reach the button. Usopp is smart enough to know the consequences, and to be scared that everybody would blame him if it turned out to be a bad decision. Bravery is to do good, even if you’re scared.

After that, there’s no question he would be the bravest warrior of the seas. So that’s his dream checked.

But let’s return to the realm of slightly-less-preposterous speculation. Oh, yes, Roger. What were his final words?

Treasure is obviously not meant literally. We’ve already seen a million times that treasure and dream are interchangable words. So he’s saying, he’ll pass his dream on to whoever finds TOP, and then he ends with some cryptic words that change, I guess, depending on the translation. But he’s probably referring to whatever he did in that final year before handing himself over to the marines (besides fathering Ace, wink wink).

Roger and Luffy are similar in many ways. They’re both Ds, they both want flashy things, and they both have a weird fascination with straw hats. Because of that, lots of people have expressed worry that Luffy was becoming Roger version 2.

But I’d say Roger is more like the Lenin to Luffy’s Stalin, except uh, you know, non-dictatorish. Hm, maybe Blackbeard is Stalin? You know what, that was a weird parallel. I’m gonna stop here before I drag Marx into it too.

Anyway, my point is, Roger got the title of Pirate King or “WG’s enemy nr. 1” because he could have pressed the button. But it would have been a bad decision, because the world wasn’t ready for it. Pressing the button wouldn’t actually have changed anything back then.

Finding TOP and getting the title “WG’s enemy nr. 1” was all fun and laughs. Roger was a man who knew he was dying, so he had nothing to fear. But when he actually got his hands on TOP, he was faced with a decision he was in no way ready to make. Would the world be better off undivided? How was he supposed to know! As Rayleigh said, there were no scholars or intellects on board of Oro Jackson. Sure, they had Oden to translate the ancient words for them, but “It’s not like Roger understood those words.”

How often have you listened to a politician go on and on about why we should do this and that, without actually understanding a single word? And Roger had the additional difficulty that the politicians were speaking from 800 years ago.

So Roger wasn’t qualified to make the decision, and didn’t push the button. I know, in his position I would have been tempted, if only to spite the WG, who obviously didn’t want it. But remember this?

Sometimes, you have to be the bigger man and let it go.

We know that Roger had contact with leaders of states like Gan Fall and Neptune and specialists like Kureha, and he possibly consulted with them. He might also have contacted, or maybe even started, the revolution. Remember that Dragon showed up to Roger’s execution?

In Roger’s the last year of life he was a lot more political. That’s why the world government noticed when he visited his lover “that he wasn’t acting like a pirate king.”

The world government had to know what he was doing, and it was even worse than if he’d simply pushed the button and called it a day. Now they didn’t just have to eliminate Roger, but everybody he might have passed his legacy onto. Even the kid. Especially the kid.

They were chasing after the wrong goose there though. Roger was closer to passing on his legacy to Whitebeard, than he ever was to Ace.

But Whitebeard didn’t want to! He was satisfied with his life, and even if Roger told him what TOP was, I doubt Whitebeard saw the point of it. What use is it to change the landscape a little bit, the world has already learned to live with it.

Roger obviously wasn’t stingy with information about TOP, at all. Even Don Chinjao seems to know the story. Right after Luffy mentions Rayleigh to Chinjao, this happens:

Because Don Chinjao is reminded of Roger whose dilemma is very similar to his own; got the treasure, but couldn’t use it.

Nekomamushi and Inurashi also seem to know the full story, though they weren’t on Raftel themselves. The first time we see Nekomamushi, Ruler of Night on the phantom island Zou, he proudly proclaims that he “waits on the dawn of the world”. Later, Pedro, a feline mink, says that “The world is waiting on them. Those two, of all people, must not be allowed to die”.

It’s still uncertain, but Nekomamushi and Inurashi’s argument might have pertained TOP. Should they, or should they not, go for it? Ultimately, they seemed to have reached the unsatisfying compromise that they would wait and see.

Luffy won’t become Roger v.2, because there’s no reason to hesitate any longer. Unlike how it was when Roger first found TOP, people are now prepared for a world change.

Notice how, both Gan Fall and Neptune at some point changed their politics from non-inclusive to tolerance? Who wants to bet it’s because Roger warned them, that soon they might be forced to share land with a whole lot more people than that.

The mermen are ready to move above ground, the revolutionaries are ready for war, and the minks are prepared for whatever.

Even Drum island seems prepared.

Because what are the consequences of creating a supercontinent?

Illnesses will have easier travel! We saw in Norland’s flashback that an illness that isn’t a problem one place, might be on another island. Wapol’s father, who was descibed as a sensible man, could have encouraged the development of medical science in preparation for the dawn of the world. However, since he’s dead, we might never know. But we definitely know that Roger consulted Kureha, a doctor… though maybe he was just looking for a cure for his illness and it had nothing to do with One Piece. Still! They’re going to need doctors, and Chopper’s dream of finding the cure for any illness will come in handy there.

Giant beasts from little garden for example, will also be a problem…

Honestly, it seems like so much trouble, so why even do it?

Well… there are a lot of advantages of a continent vs. an island. It mostly boils down to trade. As it is right now, ships take a chance every time they cross the sea to trade, who knows when a storm might sink your ship. Like, for example, Sanji and Zeff’s backstory.

With the level of technology that we’ve seen displayed in water 7 and Karakuri, developing new infrastructure to replace ships should be no more complicated than sliced bread.

But I think we should probably look at this from a more political aspect. Why does the WG, or more like the celestial dragons, want to prevent it? Could be because it would ruin their “divide and conquer” tactic. Even if the WG have a lot of enemies, they’re not a threat as long as they can’t band together. And honestly, the world government seem to have a huge number of enemies.

If TOP is activated at the current time, there’s no doubt it would to war between the WG and the revolutionaries. As Whitebeard mentions before dying: “The world government is afraid of the coming war that will engulf the world”.

It might lead to war, but ultimately, One Piece is the greatest a treasures, a dream where all of humanity is connected and living in harmony.

… Well, that’s my theory.
I hope you like it. I spent a lot of time pouring over it.

THE TRUE REASON WHY SANJI ONLY USES HIS HANDS FOR COOKING

    sanji_kun__by_mirimmd-d4qfcgl

It has been mentioned in the past that Sanji refuses to fight with his hands because he needs them for cooking and does not want to risk damaging them. However, I believe that there is a much deeper reason for this than what Sanji makes it seem. In Sanji’s original backstory, it makes sense that Zeff would teach Sanji how to cook since Sanji said he wanted to help Zeff with his restaurant. What isn’t clear is why Zeff would teach a young child how to fight. The story just skips a huge chunk of time and I think it is finally time for Oda to reveal the missing parts of Sanji’s story.

While stranded on the island, Sanji sees a bag beside Zeff and thinks it is filled with food so he runs towards Zeff with a knife in order to kill him for the food. Isn’t it a bit odd how a young child, despite being desperate, would have such murderous intent? It was recently revealed in the manga, the Sanji’s family, the Vinsmoke, is a family of assassins. I believe that at this point in Sanji’s life he had already been influenced greatly by his family even if it’s just through observation. I think Sanji witnessed many people fall victim to the Vinsmoke assassins so he probably learned at a young age that you have to kill in order to get what you want. This is the reason why Sanji wanted to kill Zeff. I believe that Sanji, when he was even younger, was ordered by his father to kill someone as some sort of initiation into the family business, but Sanji wasn’t able to do it. I also believe that this person was Sanji’s own mother. Perhaps Sanji’s mother betrayed the Vinsmoke family by leaking information or maybe Sanji’s father felt that by killing someone so close to Sanji’s heart, Sanji would easily be able to kill anyone without hesitation. I think the trauma from this event is what led to Sanji vowing never to hurt a woman so that he would never have to remember the pain of this event. As a result of disobeying his father, Sanji was banished from his home in the North Blue and this is how he eventually ended up in the East Blue where he met Zeff.

I believe that Zeff taught Sanji how to cook, not only so that Sanji could help out with his restaurant, but also as an attempt to help Sanji get over his childhood trauma. By teaching Sanji how to cook, Zeff wanted to show Sanji, that his hands could be used to make people happy as opposed to being tools of murder. On the island, Sanji learned how important food was for life so being able to make delicious food for people is a way for Sanji to give life in a way instead of taking it away. I think this reinforces why Sanji cherishes his hands so much. Finally, I believe that Zeff taught Sanji to fight using only his legs in order to separate the idea of his hands being used for killing. It somewhat serves as a renewal for Sanji since his trauma is associated with his hands only, not his legs. Zeff probably also understood that there would come a time when Sanji would have to face his family again and he need to be able to defend himself. Furthermore, I also believe that Zeff cutting of his own leg symbolizes the idea of Zeff taking Sanji’s burdens onto himself. By sacrificing his leg, it balances out with the sacrifice that Sanji failed to make; killing his mother.

      Sanji & Zeff

Sanji secretly has a fear that one day he’ll receive a letter stating that Zeff has passed away from old age. He finds the thought of not being able to say a final goodbye to the old man before he died absolutely terrifying and still doesn’t know what he’ll do if that day ever came.

Reasons why Caesar Clown will be the next Nakama! Theory

        caesar_clown_by_gbtz007-d608xqw

-Most people hate Caesar Clown because he is evil, but I will explain why this is justified later on

-He seems too obvious, since he’s been in plain sight. But this is hiding in plain sight. Oda also said @old Jump Fiesta interview (2009ish) that the next strawhat would be past enemy

-He is hated by some of the strawhats, especially Chopper (abusing medication)

-Good reasons to dislike Caesar, but the question is “Can he be redeemed”. I think he definitely can. but before that…

        Reasons Caesar makes incredible sense

-He has nowhere to go or be safe. He has nobody who trusts him, and all the Yonkou are after him and his weapons/chemicals. Can’t become ally member

-Caesar has a dream, much like the other strawhats. He wants to surpass Vegapunk and become the best scientist. This is why he harms people carelessly

-Was an enemy, like Robin, Nami, Franky, Usopp. Doubted them initially, but it reinforces how much we like them

-He sort of fits in, and has shown a variety of other emotions aside from just being a psychopath. (Ex: embarrassed by chopper, play-fighting, sanji)

-Strawhats do not have a scientist or logia yet

-Caesar is a representation of Vegapunk (Luffy = Roger, Chopper = Hililuk and Crocus, Sanji = Zeff, Usopp = Yasopp)

-Caesar connects everyone else’s abilites (missing piece to a puzzle)
~Finish Sunny with chemicals instead of Cola (Create pluton) sort of like Enel’s electricity
~Help Chopper with medication (with chemicals and drugs)
~Help Franky by replacing cola (Or can help make cola through sugar chemical) and Franky wants to follow Vegapunks dream
~Help Usopp make pesticides and growth hormones for plants
~Provide flames and gas for Sanji’s cooking
~Something stupid for Luffy, like fireworks or cooking meat with flames.

-Very powerful (Top 5 in strawhats) he has poison, flames, air, many other elements other logias are limited to loads of potential

-Potential interest in ancient weapons, since he creates his own weapons
-Foreshadowing: Got symbol of the Strawhats (Chinese Zodiac signs)

-Connects to my next point: knows the secrets of SMILE and shinokuni/gas weapons. stopped gas on mink island

If you are still mad about his evil acts, here’s how he can redeem himself:

-If you supported Monet, then you should by default support Caesar cuz she was evil as well

-Since his dream is to become the best scientist, he was doing it in a bad way due to bad influences (Doffy).

-Never killed people for fun, he believed it was necessary for him dream, and only viewed people as test subjects

-Luffy and the strawhats have brought him humility, like with Big Mom, so now he is beginning to know human emotions and fear.

        -Similar to other strawhats:
~Zoro cut down people for their bounties
~Robin betrayed many people and didn’t care if people died as long as she learned about history
~Nami stole from people to help her village
~Franky stole fortune from Luffy and beat up Usopp to build his dream ship
Ultimately Luffy saved them and gave them a better way to achieve his dream, like he will do with Caesar.

-Chopper seems most mad at him. But Chopper was the same, he experimented with monster point drugs and hurt people without realizing it, like Caesar

-Caesar can help get rid of all the weapons he created, and eventually make the crew like him by changing as a person and achieving his dream in a dif way

-Caesar never got a flashback, so he can have a very sad past that justifies his initial crazy nature.

-He will achieve his dream just like the rest of the strawhats by becoming best scientist, stopping his chem weapons, and learning about ancient tech.

          FUTURE ABILITY OF OBSERVATION

Hey people, so lately I’ve seen so many people underestimate Observation type of haki (me included tbh), and that armament haki is a better type for fighters. And that all what observation can do during the fight is predicting a move and dodging and it cannot affect the opponent that way. In other words, bring a match of two people, one has the better armament, and weaker observation, while the other has better observation and weaker armament. Most people will go and say the guy with better armament will win cause there is no point in dodging if you cannot hit and hurt the guy with better armament.

However, from how we see Oda, he always tries to redeem things. We’ve seen how people belittle DFs after Haki introduction, but after awakening, DF got back as a dangerous factor as we can see.

That lead me to believe that Oda will somehow manage to give a huuge feature and dangerous aspect to observation in combat other than just being able to dodge attacks and balance the two types of haki, observation and armament as being two equal types in combat.

So far, observation has showed only one main use in combat which is defensive way by dodging. On the other hand, Armament haki showed two ways, defensive by blocking and offensive by using it to hit logia and even inflect more damage than a normal hit.

That lead me to believe that Oda still didn’t show the offensive use of observation haki. Some people might wonder, but how can it be offensive??? here starts my theory, and why people like Sanji and Ivankov are even stronger by specializing in observation not armament.

First of all, let’s look at this page:

When Sanji inside Nami’s body was using observation haki to find Kinemon’s body. He basically said that the “Life Force” of Kinemon’s body is growing too weak. Which is why he barely was able to find it since it was being eaten by a shark lmao.

So, what is the use of that? what does that tell us????

Sanji with observation is able to sense the life force of things. Which is imo how people are able to determine someone’s strength by observation haki as rayleigh said as one of the features of observation haki. But how can sensing the “Life Force” help during the fight???????

We know that Sanji is a Martial Artist who inherited his style from Old man Zeff. We also know that Ivankov is a master of Okama Martial Arts, right????

Have you ever heard about “Pressure Points” in Martial Arts??????????

Pressure Points are vulnerable spots in the body that when you apply pressure on them, you can either, inflect huuuge damage, paralyze or even kill with it and real life martial artists always uses them as their basis in their fights.

In other words, I think Observation Haki can be used in the offensive way by knowing where is a weak and vulnerable point in the enemy body since with observation you can sense the life force.
And with that, we can clearly see that It is much better for Sanji who is a martial artist to be specialized in observation since he doesn’t depend on brute force like Zoro.

Let me guys know your thoughts about this feature of observation being used to sense the weak, vulnerable spot in the enemies body where you attack it, even if your armament is weaker than the enemy, the enemy will be inflected with a huuge damage and be defeated.

SANJI THE “SATAN”,HIS INHERITED WILL AND RELATIONSHIP WITH KAIDO!

This is a theory I have been working on since chapter 801 came out and I find really interesting. It is about Sanji somehow being Satan or Oda being inspired by Satan. Moreover I will talk about Sanji’s family, his will and his relationship with Kaido!
Reasons why I believe Sanji is the “Satan” of One Piece/or his characteristics are inspired from Satan.
It is a widely known fact that Satan in his animal state/version is a billy goat.
Billy goats’ horns are spiral just like Sanji’s eyebrows. Moreover in some pictures and movies Satan is depicted with curly eyebrows just like Sanji. Still not convinced? Then what about this: Satan is the lord of hell-a place filled with fire right? Sanji’s diable jump is composed of fire and after the timeskip Sanji also has a new technique called Hell’s Memories. I believe Oda had been trying to foreshadow Sanji’s connection to hell. Some other facts that can be Oda foreshadowing what I said are: Sanji turning to Devil at Thriller Bark (although it is for fun reasons).
There second foreshadow is Sanji being a cook. Yeah Sanji being a cook has a lot to do with fire. He has been seen using fire while cooking just like every cook and that’s why I think Oda did not make Sanji “Satan” since the beginning of the series but realised afterwards that his character/appearance would be really suitable for the role.
Moving on to the second part of this theory/speculation I am going to talk about Sanji’s Will and its former owner. Furthermore,I will talk about Sanji’s family. If Sanji really does resemble Satan , I firmly believe that he is the son of a Tenryubito. To be more specific,I believe that when the Tenryubito saw Sanji’s eyebrows (some months after being born cause babys’ heads are not completely formed when they are born)and maybe a tendency of him liking fire and approaching it , they understood/thought it was a sign from above. As most of us know, Satan protested against God and is said to have fought with him. So what the Celestial Dragons actually thought was that Sanji was going to destroy them as they are considered Gods-they thought he was a threat. Actually I believe he inherited Don Quixote Homing’s (Doffy’s father)will.
Just like Homing, Sanji would grow sick and tired of the Celestial Dragons and would punish them in a way more brutal way than Homing did (he actually did not have enough power to ruin the Celestial Dragons, but Sanji did!). So they CD wanted to kill Sanji desperately. This is the point where Sanji and Kaido are connected.
                Sanji’s And Kaido’s Relationship
There is a big chance of Kaido having been a slave for the CD.I believe it too. So what actually connects Sanji and Kaido is this: Kaido overhearring that the CD wanted to kill Sanji, they hated him and they called him Devil. Think of it! Kaido actually  SAW HIMSELF IN SANJI. He has obviously been wanted dead by a lot of people, hated and called the Devil too. Then Fisher Tiger arrives at Mariejoa’s setting everyone free , along with Kaido taking the little “Satan” with him before him being executed. But Kaido would never be a fitting parent right? So what I believe is that he left Sanji at someone he trusted and never saw him again. But he cared so much for Sanji. However the sea is huge and Sanji hasn’t always been at the same ship nor at the same location. So Kaido has been looking for his lost “self” and that’s why he is depressed and wants to die! Because he can’t find the only creature that actually made him happy and did not make him seem like a brutal freak!

Other Thoughts: I believe Sanji will awaken CoC as the King of hell. And now something about Sanji’s character. Although it may seem crazy, Sanji being okay with being friend-zoned is like Baby-5’s character. I think that at the very depth of his mind he has memories (filled with “fog” and can’t really recall clearly) of being wanted dead and that’s why he is just okay with everything. That’s also why he respected and loved Zeff so much… because his is one of the few people that risked their life for Sanji!

                *Theory by Usopp Haoshoku Haki

                  Sanji can’t kick a woman

D: Here’s my question: on p. 80 of Volume 42, Sanji says “I was raised to never kick a woman.” Would that have been a lesson from Zeff the Chef? Would that mean Zeff is very soft on women, as well? Tell me. from Ariga-san

O: Oops, this one’s from the same person as the last one. This is a good question though, so I’ll answer it. When I drew Sanji vs Kalifa (Chapter 403), some people lauded Sanji’s stance, and some people felt sorry for him. The truth is, I didn’t really want to write those lines. Sanji doesn’t have a “policy” of not kicking women; the truth is that he actually CAN’T kick them. He is a very proud man. I think he was really frustrated at that. I think Nami recognized that, and chose to praise him for once. It’s a scene that I hope will resonate with male readers, but everyone’s free to take it as they wish. Also, Zeff is just a man among men.
